Improving the lives of those impacted by Prader-Willi Syndrome

The Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of Colorado (“PWSA”) is committed to improving the quality of life and the life expectancy of those affected by Prader-Willi Syndrome (“PWS”), by funding research and providing emotional support and social services to those who have PWS or care for individuals with PWS. PWSA of Colorado works to increase awareness of PWS within society and the medical community, and actively supports research directed at improving diagnosis, quality of life, and most importantly, finding a cure.

PWSA of Colorado is committed to helping those in the Rocky Mountain Region impacted by Prader-Willi syndrome.

PWSA of Colorado provides the following services

  1. Direct assistance to our families through our grants program to cover costs of medical treatments, travel to conferences, social work, etc.
  2. Support for the PWS multi-disciplinary clinic at the Children’s Hospital of Colorado
  3. Funding of research projects through the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research (www.fpwr.org)
  4. Search for a long-term care solution for our PWS adult population in Colorado
  5. Advocacy on PWS and disability issues with state, federal and local governments, including school systems
