| DERBY RESCHEDULED TO SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2020
The PWS Derby is the annual fundraising party for PWS in Colorado. The Derby usually takes place on the first Saturday in May, but due to COVID Churchill downs moved the 146th running to Saturday, September 5th so we are adjusting our 15th annual fundraiser accordingly. We invite you to participate in our event this year with smaller gatherings at your house and a live virtual feed and auction to help keep you connected! While many things have changed since last year, the needs of our kids is greater than ever before so we hope you will be able to support us this year! Funds raised will continue to support the following programs:

HOST A DERBY PARTY
Host a Derby party at your house and invite your friends and family to join! At home Derby parties include a catered meal, 2020 Derby logo face masks, glasses, and t-shirts. Don’t forget the mint juleps and add a bottle of bourbon!

Derby FAQ’s
If you are left with PWD’s at the end of the night you can take these home! Unfortunately, they will not be good next year and any un-used PWD’s will not be converted back to USD. All Prader Willi Dollar purchases are considered a donation to PWSACO.
Prader Willi Dollars (PWD) are the currency used at the PWS Derby event. You MUST use PWD to bet on the race; however PWD can also be used at the event in place of cash. 1 PWD = 1 USD.
Yes! The PWSACO Derby is a family friendly events. We have activities for kids of all ages.
YES! Make sure to research the horses in advance. All betting must be done with Prader Willi dollars (PWD). There is a $20 min bet per card and all bets must be made in $5 increments. Odds are paid out based on the odds at the event and will be paid out in PWD after the race.
