The PWS Derby is the annual fundraising party for PWS in Colorado. The Derby takes place on the first Saturday in May, this year the event will be held on May 1, 2021 from 4-9pm at Marjorie Park at Fiddler’s Green.
WE HAVE CHANGED THINGS UP!What better excuse than a global pandemic to change up this year’s Derby event? We are excited to invite you to the 2021 Derby Day fundraiser. Here are the details: New VenueMarjorie Park at Fiddler’s Green. We are excited to invite you to a brand new outdoor venue at Fiddler’s Green in Greenwood Village, CO. You will be one of the first to see this brand new park prior to its public opening sometime later this summer. New TimeGate will open at 4pm where we will kick off the event with a variety of Denver’s best food trucks while you enjoy a beer, wine or classic Derby mint-julep cocktail. Watch the Derby race on a large outdoor screen while you check your Derby bets! Live ConcertFollowing the race will be a private concert featuring one of Denver’s most popular bands, Union Gray. Due to COVID, space is limited and all ages must purchase a ticket.

Individual Ticket
- Admission for 1 to Derby 2021. Includes food, drinks, & live concert access. We will have some limited seating that is open on a first-come-first-served basis. Outside of that, you may want to consider bringing your own camping chair or blanket.
Fire Pit Table for 6
- This ticket will give you a RESERVED fire-pit table up near the stage. Included are 6 chairs and “beverages”. Whether it is HOT or COLD, you will have all the warmth and refreshments you need with you reserved outdoor firepit table! (Includes admission for 6 people)
Derby FAQ’s
If you are left with PWD’s at the end of the night you can take these home! Unfortunately, they will not be good next year and any un-used PWD’s will not be converted back to USD. All Prader Willi Dollar purchases are considered a donation to PWSACO.
Prader Willi Dollars (PWD) are the currency used at the PWS Derby event. You MUST use PWD to bet on the race; however PWD can also be used at the event in place of cash. 1 PWD = 1 USD.
Yes! The PWSACO Derby is a family friendly events. We have activities for kids of all ages.
YES! Make sure to research the horses in advance. All betting must be done with Prader Willi dollars (PWD). There is a $20 min bet per card and all bets must be made in $5 increments. Odds are paid out based on the odds at the event and will be paid out in PWD after the race.
